The Mid-Atlantic Premier League operates as a full-year standings league, with all match results contributing to a single cumulative table for the 2025/26 season.

  • U11-U12 || 30 x 2 (60 total) || Size 4

  • U13-U14 || 35 x 2 (70 total) || Size 5

  • U15-U19 || 40 x 2 (80 total) || Size 5

  • U12 (2014s) 2025/26 Format:

  • For the Fall season, all U12 teams will play 9v9.

  • In the Spring season, teams may play 11v11 if both clubs mutually agree during scheduling.


Substitutions

Unlimited, but coaches must respect the game, the opponent, and referees. These rules change if your team advances to the 2026 NPL Finals 

Field Setup

Home teams must ensure safe playing conditions, including anchored goals, sandbags, and corner flags.

Postponements / Cancellations / Inclement Weather 

Postponements / Cancellations - These need to be done 6 days in advance of kickoff. Anything outside of this, the team who is asking for the postponement or cancellation due to whatever reason will be responsible for any referee and assignor fees the host club emits. Postmoments / cancellations should ONLY happen in extenuating circumstances. 

  • Sunday Game Date – change needs to be approved by Monday – 8am

  • Friday Game Date – change needs to be approved by Saturday – 8am

  • Saturday Game Date – change needs to be approved by Sunday – 8am

Inclement Weather - Home clubs handle cancellations and must notify opponents and referee assignors promptly.

  • U11-U12 || 22 Players || 16 Players

  • U13-U14 || 26 Players || 18 Players

  • U15-U19 || 26 Players || 18 Players

Outside of Standard Roster Guidelines

  • A maximum of four (4) players may be included on a gameday roster as either Club-Pass Players (CPPs), ECNL-RL drop down players, or trapped players.

  • ECNL players are not permitted under any circumstances.

  • Up to three (3) ECNL-RL players may participate on gameday, provided they do not have another ECNL-RL or US Club Soccer match scheduled on the same day.

  • For the Fall season only, a maximum of two (2) “trapped” 2011 players may compete in the U14 age group if:

    • They are currently in 8th grade, or

    • They are not competing with their high school team.

    • These players are intended to receive development minutes in the fall.

Mid-Atlantic Premier League — Fall 2025 Schedule Lock & Change Process

Schedule Lock Date: Friday, September 12
All fall fixtures must be entered in GotSport before Saturday, September 13.

League Context

  • The Mid-Atlantic Premier League operates on full-year standings.

  • If a fall date cannot be agreed upon, the last resort is to move that specific match to winter or spring, in addition to your regular spring slate.

How to Request Edits After Schedule Lock

  • For any time, field, or detail changes, email tom@midatlanticpl.com and he will update the match in GotSport.

Rescheduling Workflow (Teams)

  1. Coordinate in GotSport Chat:
    Use the match’s GotSport chat to propose and confirm a new date/time.

  2. Reach Agreement First:
    Teams should agree on details in chat before submitting a change request. If both clubs agree, ~99% of requests are approved.

  3. Timely Responses:

The Mid-Atlantic Premier League will implement the recent U.S. Soccer Federation updates regarding the Captain-Only Communication Protocol and the 8-second rule for goalkeepers.
